Some Woodworth researchers have asked about the Bible in my possession. Since a picture can sometimes tell more than words, I have some photos to go along with its history. What I know about the Bible is:

• In possession of  Benjamin James Woodworth in the 1860s
• In possession of his youngest son, Lawrence, until 1969
• In possession of my father and his nephew, Ivan Perkins, after 1969
• In possession of his daughter, Lona Perkins Cappis after 1983
• Copyright date of the bible is 1829
• Published in New York
• No special pages for births, marriages or deaths
• Regular note papers with family data tucked between bible pages 

This note says it was Great Grandma Woodworth's Bible. For Uncle Lawrence that would have been Elizabeth Sears Woodworth, wife of Daniel Woodworth Senior who served in the Revolutionary War. If he was thinking in terms of it being the Great Grandma of Ivan, it would be Elizabeth Moulden Woodworth, wife of Daniel Woodworth Junior. I have assumed he was referring to Elizabeth Moulden Woodworth. See Family Tree for more details: Family Tree
