To the Woodworths of the United Kingdom and Ireland

The Woodworths of the USA and Canada are looking for their early ancestors in the UK and Ireland.   We're hoping that "over there", there will be Woodworths that have had or will have their Y-DNA tested at the 37 marker level or more, and will also have ancestry lines documented fairly well.   The use of the company Family Tree DNA is preferred over other testing companies becauses FamilyTree DNA is is only DNA that performs Y-DNA testing (male lines) and provides contacts to others whose Y DNA matches.

There are at least four genetically unrelated lines of Woodworths that arrived from the UK and Ireland.   DNA matches can provide a match to one of the genetic groups, and provide good genetic clues as to specific progenitor, or can disprove genetic relationships.

Any help along this line would be deeply appreciated by your cousins across the pond.

It would be especially interesting to find UK and Irish descendants of Thomas Woodworth b  1605, brother of Walter Woodworth b 1608.
