Stephen Woodworth
Stephen Woodworth was elected to Canadian Parliament in Ottawa on October 14th, 2008 as a Conservative.
His Woodworth genealogical lineage is believed to be from William Woodworth, born 1776 in Quebec of a British soldier. We're looking into the possibility the William's father was John Woodworth of Shropshire, England. Click here for details.

From his campaign web site at http://www.stephenwoodworth.ca/EN/2233/:
"Stephen attended Wilfrid Laurier University before completing
his law degree in 1977. He has enjoyed a successful legal practice for 28 years,
learning to analyze and effectively advocate his positions, and providing
quality affordable legal assistance for hundreds of ordinary Canadians. Stephen
is grateful for the trust that so many of his neighbours have placed in his
experience and judgment over the years.
"Stephen's legal background allowed him to assist many other organizations as a
Board member or advisor. He was elected as a School Trustee from 1994 until
2003, serving Kitchener in that role for nine years.
"Stephen was introduced by the Knights of Columbus to many people serving the
community with their time and talent. Stephen has been active in many community
groups including serving on the board of Big Brothers. He has also been a lector
at his church since 1967.
"Stephen met his wife Sharon in Law School, married in 1976, and has been blessed
with three wonderful children, Nathan, Adam, and Laura. They made their home in
Kitchener, where Stephen was born and raised.
